Soil Depth Can Modify the Contribution of Root System Architecture to the Root Decomposition Rate

چکیده
Aims: Changes in root system architecture (RSA) and soil depth affect the decomposition rate. However, due to opacity, many variables of RSA have not been well studied or even measured. Methods: To investigate effects characteristics on rate, samples (Soil cores were collected October 2020 from Cunninghamia lanceolata Pinus taeda plantations, which 40 years old) obtained using a auger had diameter 10 cm length 60 cm. Samples taken six different depths, ranging 0 with interval between each depth. The in-situ was analyzed computed tomography scans Avizo. Results: Root volume number throats significantly higher at 0–10 than 10–60 depth, but lower 50–60 (p < 0.05). Structural equation modeling showed that stand types influenced biomass thus rate directly indirectly through types. RSA, i.e., thickness breadth, affected then contributed most (20.19%) (32.26%) plantations. contribution exceeded 50% 20–30 40–50 depths. Conclusions: Our findings suggested influence varies This deserves more consideration our future studies RSA.

contribution of setting to the study of characters and the main idea in e. brontes: wuthering heights and t. hardys: return of the native.
this thesis aims to adduce an unmitigated and comprehensive explication concerning the relationship of three significant elements of fiction: setting, chracter and theme. my research is basically placed on two outstanding novels of the 19th century: emily brontes wuthering heights and thomas hardys return of the native. my endeavour lies in studying the correlation among the three above-mention...
15 صفحه اولDNA analysis of soil extracts can be used to investigate fine root depth distribution of trees
Understanding the root distribution of trees by soil coring is time -: consuming as it requires the separation of roots from soil and classification of roots into particular size classes. This labour-intensive process can limit sample throughput and therefore sampling intensity. We investigated the use of quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) on soil DNA extractions to determine live fi...

Root system architecture (RSA) impacts plant fitness and crop yield by facilitating efficient nutrient and water uptake from the soil. A better understanding of the effects of soil on RSA could improve crop productivity by matching roots to their soil environment. We used x-ray computed tomography to perform a detailed three-dimensional quantification of changes in rice (Oryza sativa) RSA in re...

متن کاملEarly Stage Fine-Root Decomposition and Its Relationship with Root Order and Soil Depth in a Larix gmelinii Plantation
Characterization of decomposition dynamics of fine roots is essential for understanding vegetation–soil feedbacks and predicting ecosystem responses to future climate scenarios, given their more rapid turnover rates. Using a branch-order classification, we separated the fine root systems of Larix gmelinii into two classes: firstand second-order roots combined into one (lower-order); thirdand fo...
